Founder and Managing Director of Parker Travel Collection, Out of the Way Experiences and Air Australia Charters and Tours, Todd commenced his tourism career at the Queensland Tourist and Travel Corporation (known today as Tourism Queensland) where he gained experience in the retail, wholesale and marketing divisions of Tourism Queensland.

Moving to Cairns in 1987 as the Sales and Marketing manager for the Cairns Colonial Club Resort, Todd travelled extensively to make the Colonial Club the face of Cairns in the formative years of North Queensland’s international marketing drive. This position led to his appointment on the Rihga Royal Hotels sales and marketing board with international sales responsibility for Rihga Royal Hotel Miri, the Royal Mulu Resort and involvement in the 16 hotels based in Japan for the parent company.

Looking for new challenges, Todd became co-manager for the development and construction of the 150 room resort Palm Royale Cairns in 1993, and led its sales and marketing team in the resort’s early years. During this period Todd also held the position of Group Marketing Manager of Bright Eyes Sunglass Stores Australia wide. Todd conducted his first international sales trip at 21 and has ‘called’ on tourism operators in Australia, the UK, Europe, North America, Asia and NZ for the last 20 years, building an extensive and influential range of industry stakeholders.
